For the record, who's answering the interview?

INSULT

What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?

INSULT

We're called Insult. The guys were flipping around in a dictionary, somehow ended up with that word and liked the various meanings. It happened a long time before I joined.

So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?

INSULT

Roy - Drums
Sweed - Base
Joe - Guitar
Dimi - Vox
Steffen - Vox
Lenny - Guitars.

How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?

INSULT

We like to sift through all kinds of modern heavy music, mainly Death Metal, Hardcore and Nu Metal. Apart from that we like ourselves some variety, which results in different excursions. Blues has always been a big influence here, there's also Jazzy moments, Drum'n Base references, melodic, almost poppy clean parts and a lot more.

How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?

INSULT

Not hardcore whore I'd say, but pretty damn slutty. We're getting to the whore part.

How would you describe your shows?

INSULT

Controlled chaos and aggression. The smooth parts make it pretty trippy too though. Generally very extreme, we like to go apeshit.

Tell us about your favorite show and why?

INSULT

Must've been at the Kassablanca Jena in February 2013. It was the first show with our new drummer, place was packed. Somehow everyone really nailed it, the crowd was very diverse, lots of chicks and the response was amazing. The release show of our 2009 album "Attentat" being a close second, same venue, more intense and brutal, less of a party feeling. I was a spectator back then and adored it.

Tell us about your worst show and why?

INSULT

A bunch of shows last year. Singer was absent which made it really weird to play.

Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?

INSULT

Opening for Slipknot and Head Charge at some big festival would probably be the right answer, Download comes to mind.

Do you have a street team and how can you join?

INSULT

Working on that.

ATP

Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?

INSULT

Nope, I personally produce our records. Guess for distribution and promotion purposes we wouldn't mind.

What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?

INSULT

Write and record new album this year and tour until next year.

ATP
