What is the title of your CD? How did you come up with the name?

A HARD KNOCK LIFE

Well my first ep is named One In A Million. It was more nu-metalcore style based. Recorded and released that ep first because I grew up with rap rock and nu-metal and its one half of what AHKL is all about. For my new ep I just moved the words around to create A Million To One. This ep is more pop punk and pop rock in nature. This is essentially Pt.2, the other half of what AHKL is all about.

Is this your first CD and if not, how is this one different from the others?

Last ep was nu-metalcore/rap rock in nature. This ep is more pop punk/pop rock. So essentially One In A Million is pt.1 and this new ep A Million To One is Pt.2.

Did you write all the songs before going into the studio or did you write them as you were recording?

A HARD KNOCK LIFE

Naw I can't do that. You're not gonna open a art museum with the paintings and sculptures still early stages of creation. You have to have a basic idea already of how you want your art to look like. I find I can write better songs when I take my time with ideas before studio time.

Walk us thru the process of writing your music?

All the songs i've put out i've written at work and whenever I can at home, but Im always at work so haha

Where did you record and why?

A HARD KNOCK LIFE

With my buddy cameron marygold of native productions. He's a vary talented young fellow. If I ever get the chance to record my debut record under label contract, for sure want him to be apart of it. Knows exactly what im trying to do and go for with AHKL...dude knows what I want before I even say anything lol

HHow did you pay for your recording?

Paid my homie straight up. But I work 2 jobs every night to afford it.

Did you have a producer or did you self-produce? If so, what kind of input did the producer have. If your self-produced, why?

Mr.Cameron Marygold of Native Productions. Get at him. Find him on Facebook. If so, what kind of input did the producer have. Cam wrote some guitar leads. He recorded and produced everything! Wicked on programming drums and bass guitar if need be.

Did you try to capture your "live sound" or did you go for something else?

I tried to capture what AHKL might sound like live on stage one day when I get a full band going.

Did your record label have any input into the music you recorded?

No record label. Just me and native productions.

Gonna be a challenge to book shows, seeing as I work everynight, but we'll see what happens.
